This week I have found myself praying about the gifts & talents our Father in Heaven has bestowed upon my children. That He would reveal these gifts to me & that He would give my children opportunities to grow & develop their gifts to the fullest & that their gifts & talents be used to glorify his kingdom.

Our family has been blessed to be placed with a church family that has leaders that reconized the importance of God given talents & gifts in our children & see that they are used.

Stealin Kisses at the Movies...

I was that person today at a 10:00 a.m. movie stealing kisses from a really cute boy! Only at the age of forty, I was stealing that sweet sugar from my two year old while watching Madagascar 3 at Malco. Malco Theaters have two dollar kid movies the month of July on Tuesday & Wednesdays. And with four kids & the price of movie tickets, you bet this mom of four is going to take the opportunity to give her kids a good memory while saving some bucks!

I was also the "lady" sitting in the theater with a ponyail, no makeup and, brace yourself, unshaved legs! (Dont worry, I did shave yesterday so it wasnt too bad!) I also  probably smelled of lysol since I made sure to tidy the bathrooms before leaving the house this morning.

How different it was a few decades ago. I would have went all out, making sure every nail was buffed & shiny, makeup applied carefully, hair sprayed & BIG (80's you know), my skin soft from my favorite peach scented lotion. But then I would not have found myself freely cracking up at such scenes as when the sexy Hipo, Gloria, is being admired by the male hipo for her lumpiness or enjoying the look of awe on my baby's face as he viewed his first time in a movie theater!...Instead I would have been worried about laughing too loud or making sure I was sitting "pretty".

I am sure the young man sitting next to me & my two year old would have rather me been smelling like a peach & laughing quietly to myself, then the old lysol smelling lady who couldnt stop loudly cracking up & covering her two year old with smootches!

Even though I sometimes miss being that young insecure girl, I can say at 40, I am enjoying living life more freely by just being myself!
